There’s no way to avoid having a goat unless The Muscle steps in — every show has a Goat and it’s your job not to be it — but sometimes you’re it by default just because you have the least experience or because you wrote the thing that everybody else thinks they know how to fix.

I wonder if there is any way to avoid being the goat — ie to prove oneself not goat-worthy? Otherwise it is great when The Muscle takes on the Goat responsibility.
