A Russian Playwright born into a military prosecutor's family (Novosibirsk, 1955), Churyahin graduated from the Institute of Nonferrous Metals and Gold (Krasnoyarsk, 1977) and earned an approved a doctorial dissertation (Novosibirsk, 1983). Two persons live together for many years remaining essentially strangers one to another. One fine day the husband of the heroine finds by chance the treasure buried by his wife in their summer residence. Another day, which is lived by heroes through three acts of the play, becomes the day of their mutual revelations. Three families have to live together in a limited space of a standard Russian apartment: An old woman, her elder son with his own son and her younger son with his wife. Such circumstances do not manifest dramatically until the relative equilibrium in this small community is disturbed by almost simultaneous appearance of the senior son's mistress and his ex-wife. As the action goes on, the psychological strain is growing to such extent that the criminal outcome of the play looks like quite natural.
